Sophomore midfielder Travis Wall (Columbus/Upper Arlington) scored the Bishops' first 2 goals and top-ranked Ohio Wesleyan went on to blank Wabash in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday in Crawfordsville, Ind.
Wall gave the Bishops the lead in the 10th minute, fielding a pass from junior forward Tyler Wall (Columbus/Upper Arlington) and ripping a shot past Little Giant keeper Pat West.
Both Walls figured in the Bishops' second goal as well, with Tyler Wall sending the ball to Travis Wall on a play similar to the first one, with Travis Wall scoring to give Ohio Wesleyan a 2-0 lead in the 18th minute.
Senior midfielder Jordan Halloran (Springfield/Catholic Central) added to the Bishop lead midway through the first half, taking a pass from junior back Brian Greene (Beavercreek) and scoring with 24:00 left in the period.
Greene wrapped up the Ohio Wesleyan scoring with a goal in the closing minutes, with senior back Matt Giannetti (Montclair, N.J.) credited with an assist on the play.
Ohio Wesleyan outshot Wabash, 18-4. Freshman goalkeeper Paul Hendricks (Columbus/Worthington Kilbourne) recorded 2 saves for the Bishops. West made the start in the Wabash goal, and Matt Paul came on and finished with 4 saves.
